JOB SUMMARY

Through their industry and sales expertise, the US OEM Sales Manager earns the continued loyalty of assigned OEM HVAC manufacturing accounts while successfully earning incremental business within that account base and thru identifying and developing new customers.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The OEM Sales Manager is part of the OEM Sales Group and reports to the National Sales Manager, US OEM and bears full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Account management of assigned OEM customer accounts and qualification of new customer opportunities in assigned geographic territories.
•    Support HVAC manufacturers with the selection and application of Belimo control valves, damper actuators, and sensors / meters.
•    Prioritization around identifying, qualifying, and developing new revenue sources from within new and existing customer accounts.
•    Meet or exceed annual sales plan (including strategic product goals) and non-sales objectives.
•    Implement consultative selling strategy to grow Belimo’s OEM business through outstanding service, relationship, product knowledge and application knowledge.
•    Demonstrate application excellence of Belimo products.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with OEM manufacturer customers through credibility, reliability, product application knowledge and value-added sales.
•    Provide technical, sales, and logistical support to customers.
•    Work closely with both the US and Canadian OEM Sales Teams and internal corporate departments.
•    Develop a sales opportunity pipeline that supports short- and long-term territory sales growth objectives.
•    Collaborate with OEM customers, Product Management and Engineering to develop new product solutions or modify existing products to meet customer application requirements.
•    Collaborate with OEM customers, Customer Service, and Market Channel Solutions to ensure forecasts are communicated and ensure customer’s goals with respect to Belimo product availability (lead times) and daily communication are achieved.
•    Monitor competitors’ actions and take appropriate measures to maintain/increase Belimo’s market share.
•    Continuous development of product knowledge, application knowledge, and professional selling skills.
•    Effectively utilize sales tools including Microsoft Dynamics (CRM), SAP BI, and Belimo sizing, selection, and ordering platforms.

REQUIREMENTS

•    B.S. in engineering, business, or equivalent industry experience
•    5 years technical sales experience preferably in HVAC industry with proven goal achievement 
•    HVAC industry knowledge and experience
•    Demonstrated solution providing and problem-solving ability
•    Strong organizational, inter-personal, and negotiating skills  
•    Strong communication and presentations skills are a must
•    Self- motivated with ability to structure work schedule and work independently from a home office.
•    Proficient in Excel, Word, and other basic computer skills necessary to complete sales reporting requirements and manage home office.
•    50% Travel required

The base pay for this position ranges from $110,000 - $130,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 25% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
