JOB SUMMARY

The Key Account Manager, Americas is responsible for leading, developing and implenting the strategic growth plans for large, multi-national enterprises who manufacture, market, and distribute controllers and equipment for the HVAC industry.   The focus market segments consist of both the OEM and Contracting channels.  By building and maintaining relationships with the key leaders of these companies, the Key Account Manager is the champion of our customers‘ voice throughout our organization, especially in collaboration with the District Sales Managers.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Key Account Manager, Americas will directly report to the Head of Key Account Management, Americas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement, and manage the growth plan and sales strategies for the assigned accounts in both the OEM and Contracting channels.
  • Coach the Belimo sales team on the best practices for meeting the customers‘ needs and collaborate with sales managers to help them achieve their growth goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the assigned accounts‘ key decision makers, adding value to their business.
  • Collaborate with the Belimo Product Management team to develop business cases and assist in design requirements for customized OEM solutions based on customers‘ needs.
  • Leverage technology platforms including digital communication platforms, customer relationship software, engineering tools, etc. to add incremental value to our customers‘ portfolio.
  • Lead negotiations for both long and near-term purchasing agreements.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate industry, market, and technology trends to relevant stakeholders.
     

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering strongly preferred.  Secondary degree with a Business focus is a plus.
  • 8+ years‘ experience in technical sales (HVAC preferred) and 3+ years in business development, strategic planning.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter.  Must be motivated to develop and execute strategies and account management plans, balancing immediate business needs with longer term objectives.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and other basic computer skills.
  • Approximately 50% Travel is expected.

The base pay for this position ranges from $130,000 - $150,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 30% of an employee’s annual base salary. Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
