JOB SUMMARY

The RetroFIT+ Application Specialist is responsible for supporting the growth of Belimo’s retrofit sales through a combination of strategic technical field support throughout a regional territory.  Primarily serving the needs of our enterprise end-user customers, the role will add value to our existing sales force by being an on-site resource focused on consulting, optimization of our products, identification of customers’ HVAC system’s needs, and raising awareness of opportunities for improvement all while partnering with the existing building commissioning engineering community to further broker customer value.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The RetroFIT+ Application Specialist will report to the Business Manager: RetroFIT+, Americas.  This role will have a strong tether to the Regional Sales Manager and Manager, Field Applications, Americas.  
They will bear full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  •   Prioritize, in collaboration with district sales managers, existing energy valve installations to download operational data, optimize energy valve performance, and enhance solution awareness to enterprise decision authorities by effectively communicating value.  
  • Create and execute the process for existing buildings’ products cross-references to add value to the sales team’s efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate the implications for end-users HVAC systems’ operation influencing end-users to standardize on Belimo solutions and build the sales pipeline in the CRM.  
  •  Responsible for creating and maintaining a database for identifying and tracking existing and new energy valve installations throughout the Americas.  
  • Further develop and lead the “pilot programs” including the processes of data retrieval and analysis, communication of value, and collaborating with SMEs to enhance pilot offerings.
  • Utilize the CRM for tracking identified opportunities and recommend solutions for developing the pipeline.
  • Collaborate across functional departments to raise awareness and interest in our portfolio of retrofit solutions. 
  • Attend relevant trade events and organizations focused on optimizing built environment HVAC performance. 
  • Foster relationships with the existing building commissioning engineering community through strategic partnerships for utility incentive programs.
     

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field preferred. 
  • 3+ years’ experience in consulting engineering or experience in the HVAC field required.
  • Experience with commercial Building Automation Systems and/or existing building commissioning is preferred.
  • Must have a strategic approach to market including successful strategic planning, development and implementation.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and collaborative mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are a must.
  • Self-starter a must. Must be motivated with minimal supervision (home office) to implement and execute business goals.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and other basic computer skills. A minimum of 40% travel is required.

The base pay for this position ranges from $90,000 -$105,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 15% of an employee’s annual base salary.
