The Data Center Solutions Architect is responsible for providing technical sales leadership and support to the Belimo Americas Sales Team for the target Vertical Markets, Data Centers, and large, complex projects involving customers in multiple regional geographies and sales channels.

The Data Center Solutions Architect is part of the Belimo Americas Sales Team, reporting to the Vice President - Sales and bears full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.


  • Provide leadership, education, and support to the Vertical Market sales teams and customers for new technical applications while also researching industry trends and implications with a strategic focus on the Data Center market. 
  • Work Closely with OEM’s, Data Center Business Development Manager, and sales team for technical and application support related to pre or post sale activities.
  • Lead role in large, complex project coordination to ensure Belimo’s product line is fully leveraged and positioned in design, specifications and (ultimately) procurement.
  • Connect Contracting projects and specifications for equipment manufacturers with sales team including Data Center, OEM, and Vertical market team and contracting, to drive incremental growth.
  • Support sales efforts by cultivating strong relationships with end users and consulting engineering customers providing product training, information, recommendations and troubleshooting issues.
  • Identify potential new product applications and communicate concepts to Sales Team, Product Management and Engineering to develop new business.
  • Utilize applications expertise to assist sales force in the development of new business utilizing “pull through” sales efforts for the purpose of acquiring specifications and demand for our products.
  • Keep informed of new consulting engineering and end user projects and provide leads to sales teams.
  • Training (in-person or virtual) for Consulting engineers, owners, customers and others 
  • Write and influence specifications for consulting engineers and end users.
  • Provide applications excellence to drive and support all Belimo Products.
  • Effectively utilize sales tools including MS Dynamics.
  • Work on committees and special projects as requested.


  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred.
  • 5 Years of proven track record in consulting engineering, data center design/operations, or applicable experience in the HVAC or related technical field.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, inter-personal, and negotiation skills are required
  • Strong communications and presentation skills are a must.
  • Self-starting personality is required to efficiently structure work schedule and work successfully from your home office. 
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and other basic computer skills.      
  • Travel requirements of position is approximately 50%

The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000 - $135,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 30% of an employee’s annual base salary.
