JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President, Logistics/Customization Americas is responsible for overseeing the Logistics and Customization Groups at the Regional Headquarters in Danbury, as well as Distribution Hubs in Nevada, Canada, and Brazil. This is a key role in creating and implementing plans and procedures to improve operational efficiency and achieve organizational goals. Employee will oversee operations services, manage budgets and financial performance to ensure that the organization is operating within budget. Employee will manage staff efficiency of 150 employees, ensuring that our organization has the necessary resources and personnel to meet our targets and goals and proposing opportunities for growth. The employee is responsible for managing, leading, and developing the groups in cooperation with both Global and Regional Leadership, and Human Resources, to ensure business goals are achieved.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

 The Vice President, Logistics/Customization Americas is a member of the Americas Leadership Team, as well as the Group Division Logistics/Customization Core Leadership Team. This position reports directly to the Head of Group Division Logistics/Customization, with an indirect report to the President of Belimo Americas. This position bears full responsibility for all agreed upon goals and objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to two Regional Hubs (Danbury and Sparks) and 2 local Distribution Centers located in Brazil and Canada.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously assess and improve operational processes, systems, and performance metrics to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a diverse team of managers and professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Budget Oversight: Develop and manage budgets for the Americas region, ensuring prudent financial management and cost control.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all operations adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to streamline the flow of materials and products across the region.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of the company's strategic plans for the Americas region, including market expansion and growth initiatives
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard operations and business continuity.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety, clean and healthy working environment (HSSE, OSHA).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field required. Masters strongly preferred. 
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar industry (electrical, mechanical or HVAC industry)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of assembly, customizing, and logistics operations including fully automated storage systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles such as lean six sigma, process optimization, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire 100+ personnel within cross-functional teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into actionable operational plans.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on data-driven analysis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Software Skills – MS Office Suite and SAP experience
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 15%)
  • Multilingual preferred, not required.
