JOB SUMMARY
The verification engineer (Infrastructure) will be responsible for the design, development, and installation of custom applications and controls, as well as related mechanical or electrical systems for automation, data acquisition, and process control for test infrastructure in the Water Product Verification Center. The verification engineer will be part of a team that includes engineers and technicians who plan, develop, and execute tests for water product verification globally. The position will interface closely with the other verification and development teams globally, along with other groups within the company.

REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Verification Engineer is part of the Innovation Hub Americas Verification team (IHA-IV), reports to the Head of Verification Americas, and is fully responsible for agreed-upon goals and objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, review, and implementation of automation and process control solutions for product testing and infrastructure systems.
- Lead the design, review, and implementation of data acquisition systems for test infrastructure.
- Software and GUI development specifically for National Instruments and LabVIEW to control automation.
- Development and maintenance of systems requirements, specifications, and technical documentation related to automation solutions.
- Lead the design, manufacture, and implementation of automation and data collection systems in a collaborative lab environment.
- Review system requirements and translate them into a design that can be verified through commissioning.
- Apply and ensure all relevant QHSE standards for lab infrastructure.
REQUIREMENTS
Core Competencies:
- Proven track of electrical design and engineering fundamentals
- Proven track of electro-mechanical systems & circuitry design
- Experience with variable frequency drive programming and control wiring.
- Experience in BACnet IP, BACnet MS/TP (BTL listings), and web server applications
- Experience in electrical control systems schematic design in CAD Software (AutoCAD)
- Experience in 5S principles
- Ability to create, read, and understand electrical circuit schematics and P&IDs
- Ability to wire low-voltage controls (24VDC)
- Ability to understand line and high voltage circuits (120V/230V and 480V/3-phase)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and support multiple projects
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug automation equipment problems.
- Strong teamwork ethic and the ability to work autonomously with initiative and urgency
Qualifications:
- Education: B.S. Electrical Engineering (&Computing), B.S. Electro-mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics), B.S. Computer Science (&Engineering) or B.S. Manufacturing Engineering
- Must have 5+ years of engineering development experience in addition to 2+ years of experience in working with National Instruments and Matlab/LabVIEW platforms
The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000 - $115,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 10% of an employee’s annual base salary.
