JOB SUMMARY

 

The Maintenance Manager will manage a team of technicians while using best engineering processes to maintain and improve equipment to insure efficiencies of all required processes for the Production Departments.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Maintenance Manager is part of the Production Department and reports to the Vice President Production, Americas and bears full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership to a growing team currently with 8 Technicians and Team Leads across 2 shifts to meet all related company objectives.  Develop a strategy for expanding the team to support new initiatives.
  • Scope of responsibility includes but is not limited to: Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) conveyors, stacker cranes, bin stackers\ destackers, elevators, all assembly work cells, label printers, presses, assembly tools, hand and power tools, cable pinning machines, actuator final test machines, parameterization tools and the like.
  • Lead in the usage and deployment of an EAM system to support work orders and spare part consumption/reordering and to organize, prioritize, schedule and maintain status of all equipment PM schedules.
  • Optimize the work environment in terms of safety and performance.
  • Repair and maintain production machinery, equipment, and tooling in accordance with company and manufacturers standards.
  • Work with production personnel to develop simple manufacturing devices for a variety of purposes, primarily related to safety, ergonomic, process improvement, and new processes.
  • Assist in the design, break-down, and set-up of assembly cells and their related equipment.
  • Facilitate and coordinate fabrication, repairs, and maintenance from outside contractors.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have Associates Degree in a Technical field, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of related work in manufacturing environment with 3+ years in supervisory role inclusive of budgeting and performance review.
  • Automated Conveyance Systems Experience a must
  • Computer skills; Word, Excel, SAP a plus, CAD a plus.
  • Lean manufacturing certification a plus
  • Ability to lead, coach, mentor, develop talent

The base pay for this position ranges from $85,000 - $105,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 15% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
