Product Lead Engineer: Control Valves (Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY

The Product Lead Engineer is responsible for product engineering and product lifecycle management activities at the Danbury site. They will work within a project-oriented, hands-on, team environment, interfacing closely with Danbury Product Management and Production as well as their counterpart of Switzerland Product Lead Engineers.

This position requires work flexibility for a hybrid of remote and in-office work.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Product Lead Engineer: Control Valves report solid line to the Head of Product Engineering Americas in Danbury and dotted line to the Head of Product Engineering Ball Valves in Switzerland.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong global interaction with product management and development departments worldwide
  • Responsible for coordinating and supporting multiple local departments such as Product Management, Supply Chain Management and Production
  • Perform new product openings and product changes in PLM/ERP incl. coordinating creation of new configurations
  • Complete verifications and assist Switzerland engineers for control valves topics in Americas
  • Lead and support Quality-Cases worldwide
  • Responsible for regional 3rd level customer support, answering and solving technical customer requests globally
  • Leading and conducting technical feasibility studies upon request from Product Management for possible new products
  • Lead and support regional projects including project coordination, budget, schedule and risk monitoring

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering or Technology discipline (Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Computer Science)
  • Experience in related fields (5+ years)
  • Strong affinity for software and interfaces, including MS Office, SAP and PLM software
  • Knowledge of HVAC applications or Building Automation / Management Systems (BAS/BMS)
  • Electronical, software or mechatronics design with strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
  • Knowledge of field bus communication (e.g. BACnet/Modbus)
  • Exposed to Internet of Things (IoT); and field bus communication
  • Must have strong project management, organizational, and presentation skills while being able to prioritize and support multiple projects
  • Must have organized documentation and exceptional communication skills
  • A proactive, reliable, empathic, responsive and solution-oriented mind set with a positive attitude
  • Exposed to multinational environment
  • Travel will be required
