JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations during the second shift. This position plays a key role in managing production activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, optimizing workforce productivity, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Operations Manager, Second Shift reports directly to the Vice President, Logistics/ Customization Americas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage all operational activities during the 2nd shift, including manufacturing, logistics, maintenance, and systems.
  • Supervise and provide direction to supervisors, leads, and hourly employees.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; lead safety initiatives and drive a culture of safety.
  • Monitor and improve operational efficiency, workflow, and employee performance.
  • Collaborate with other shifts and departments to ensure seamless transitions and communication.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate expectations, changes, and performance metrics.
  • Address and resolve employee conflicts, disciplinary issues, and attendance concerns.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reports to senior management.
  • Implement and support Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ensure quality standards are upheld throughout the production process.
  • Assist in training and onboarding of new team members on the shift.
  • Participate in or lead root cause analyses and corrective actions related to operational challenges.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of operations, production, or warehouse management experience, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • Prior experience supervising 2nd or 3rd shift teams strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate teams and improve operational performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant ERP or WMS systems.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and/or Six Sigma principles a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or holidays.

The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000 - $130,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 10% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
