JOB SUMMARY

The Material Handler, Line Leader is responsible for moving material around the Belimo plant using forklifts, making labels for receiving, removing waste cardboard, assembling and reassembling racks, taking inventory counts for the buyer or the planner, and packing actuators as needed.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Material Handler, Line Leader reports directly to Warehouse Group Leader and bears full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately pick, move material in and out of pallet racks using material handling equipment
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and peripheral equipment to accurately move material between designated storage locations
  • Ability to understand and follow Belimo Packaging and Labeling Policy
  • Bin label creation and proper application to materials
  • Load and unload trucks
  • General housekeeping including disposal of cardboard, trash and lumber to appropriate dumpsters
  • Take inventory counts as required by stock policy
  • Repack and storage of materials to specified stock locations
  • Responsible for accurately picking necessary parts based on material movement requests
  • Cooperation with other teams
  • Certification on all material handling equipment
  • Execute physical inventory counts
  • Use of scales for weight counting
  • In-depth knowledge of WMS transactions pertaining to material handling
  • Proficient in all duties of one additional department
  • Primary interface between Material Handling staff and Production / Customizing Departments
  • Inventory discrepancy investigation and resolution
  • Coordinate work assignments
  • Role model to team
  • Staff assessment input between Line Leader and Group Leader
  • Group Leader back up for critical functions
  • Basic Warehouse Management Systems troubleshooting
  • Basic SAP transacations
  • Complete knowledge of Material Handling and all processes within one additional department
  • Assist in warehouse functions including but not limited to inventory cycle counts
  • Promote and maintain a safe and clean workplace and working environment (Health, Safety, Security, Environment)
  • Temporary assignments as floater and cooperation within the department

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School education or equivalent.
  • Reading and writing language skills necessary for making & reading labels.
  • Able to deal with time constraints and deadlines; manipulating multiple priorities; self-actuated and sense of urgency
  • Organization skills to get proper parts to assemblers on time.
  • Average manual dexterity (Hand to eye coordination)
  • At least 2 years shipping department experience
  • Material handling equipment experience.
  • Must be forklift certified.
  • Ability to lift up to 44 lbs.

The base pay for this position is $23.67 hourly. Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
