JOB SUMMARY

The Manager of Quality is responsible for supporting Belimo's Integrated Management System, as well as overseeing functions such as Incoming Material Inspection, Warranty Analysis, Compliance, and Supplier Quality. This role will collaborate closely with the Product Management, Production, and Innovation teams to ensure and enhance the quality of Belimo products.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Manager of Quality is a member of the Americas' Quality Department, reporting to the Vice President of Quality, and is fully accountable for achieving the established goals and objectives.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and improvement of the Integrated Management System to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Maintain certifications (e.g., UL, CRN, NSF) and support product compliance programs/documentation requests.
  • Lead investigations into quality issues in the Americas market, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for defects, complaints, and inefficiencies.
  • Address customer complaints, warranty concerns, and product returns to ensure satisfaction, including direct communication with customers and resolving problem jobsite  issues.
  • Manage supplier relationships and quality documentation (e.g., PFMEA, Control Plans) to ensure quality materials and parts, including conducting audits, resolving quality issues, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Plan and execute internal and external audits to verify process adherence and product compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality metrics, inspections, audits, and corrective actions, and report findings to senior management.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce defects, and enhance product quality.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure products meet specifications, functionality, and safety standards, including inspecting raw materials, components, and final products. Address discrepancies and coordinate product dispositions with Purchasing. Manage KPIs and reporting.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of measurement and testing equipment to ensure fully conforming products.
  • Provide training on quality standards and processes to ensure adherence to quality protocols.
  • Support and guide the Incoming Inspection and Warranty Analysis departments to strengthen operations and drive world-class operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Quality as the regional representative to ensure alignment between the Americas and other regions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field.
  • Ten years prior experience in a Quality Management role for a manufacturing company.
  • Three years of application experience in the HVAC or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and organize cross-functional meetings, committees, and people in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrated aggressive, persuasive, and creative problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Expert use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email software.
  • Travel requirements of position is approximately 20%.

The base pay for this position ranges from $120,000 - $140,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 15% of an employee’s annual base salary. Belimo is committed to paying all employees in a fair, equitable and transparent manner.
