JOB SUMMARY

As a Lean Improvement Specialist, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence by leading initiatives focused on eliminating waste, improving process efficiency, and enhancing overall performance across the organization. This role requires strong analytical skills, a hands-on approach, and the ability to train employees at all levels in Lean thinking and practices.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Lean Improvement Specialist is part of the Logistics/Customizing group and reports to the Manager of Continuous Improvement in Logistics and Customizing, Americas. This position bears full responsibility for all agreed upon goals and objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops across logistics and manufacturing teams.
  • Lead Lean initiatives such as 5S, value stream mapping, standard work, and visual management to optimize workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Lean solutions that improve productivity, reduce lead times, and enhance quality.
  • Train and coach employees at all organizational levels in Lean principles, tools, and techniques.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate improvement progress to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging Lean tools to enhance ongoing improvement efforts.
  • Identify and analyze areas of waste and inefficiency within logistics and manufacturing processes using Lean methodologies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Logistics/Manufacturing operations & process improvement
  • Proven ability to implement Lean Manufacturing principles and facilitate organizational change
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook), particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-up, organizational, planning skills and a team player
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation and interpersonal communication skills

The base pay for this position ranges from $70,000 - $80,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 7% of an employee’s annual base salary. Compensation is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education and experience.
