JOB SUMMARY
The Training Solutions Instructional Designer oversees and assists with the development, design, format, structure, of SME-created training content. This role serves as the learning and training expert in the Americas and will consult on training projects throughout Belimo Americas, offering effective solutions to both internal and external customers. This individual will be responsible for the end-to-end creation of online and in-person learning related to all Belimo departments and their training initiatives, along with technical product trainings. This role balances working on multiple projects across multiple client types at the same time.

The Instructional Designer reports directly to the Manager of Training Solutions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as learning/training SME in the Americas region/s. by staying up to date on current trends, sharing insights, and advocating for use of best practices with stakeholders.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects for numerous customers, both internal and external.
- Collaborate with multiple departments and subject matter experts to achieve desired results ; direct the work of training project teams.
- Assist with the development of the following, created by subject matter experts:
- learning content from analysis, development, design, through execution of final deliverables.
- e-learning using software such as Canva, PowerPoint, Articulate, and other e-learning programs.
- course content including learning activities, gamification, assessments, job aides & other supplementals training materials and other training solutions to support customer and employee learning.
- curriculums, learning paths, and training programs.
- Identify methods for measuring the effectiveness of training.
- Solicit and incorporate feedback and assess evaluation feedback to make appropriate, measurable changes.
- Assists with other duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS (or equivalent) in instructional design, human resources, industrial/organization psychology, or equivalent work experience in a related area.
- 5+ years of instructional design and development experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with training facilitation (live, in-person, virtual, hybrid, etc.)
- Program and project management expertise.
- Experience developing cutting-edge and digital learning.
- Experience using various training authoring tools
- Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in applying adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.
- Collaborative approach; team player; ability to work with global teams from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in French, Spanish, and/or Portuguese a plus.
- Familiarity with SuccessFactors Learning Management System or similar.
- Experience working with third-party development vendors who produce training materials under Belimo’s direction.
- Occasional travel may be required (approximately 10%)
The base pay for this position ranges from $80,000 - $90,000 annually with a target performance bonus of 10% of an employee’s annual base salary.
