Incoming Inspector (Temp Only)

JOB SUMMARY

The Incoming Inspector is responsible for testing the incoming goods according to the provisions of the inspection plan and organizational instructions.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Incoming Inspector is responsible for ensuring products are inspected as per company policies and procedures and reports directly to the Group Leader, Incoming Inspector.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Test (using special measurements) the incoming goods according to the provisions of the inspection plan and organized instructions.
  • Communicate information on failed product inspections to responsible departments
  • Document all Test reports as indicated via SAP and/or LOGIS ONLINE.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Production Management to determine organization of workloads and prioritization of projects.
  • Work closely with production planning to optimize resources to accommodate peak production periods
  • Support of all quality issues
  • Document and maintain records of the quarantined materials
  • Coordinate and maintain calibration records for the facility

REQUIREMENTS

  • A.S. Technical Degree preferred
  • 5+ years in production inspection/ quality role
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Must have ERP experience
  • Warehouse Management System experience preferred
  • Experience with shadow graphs, calipers, micrometers
  • Strong written and verbal communication required
