Global Trade Compliance Specialist (Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY

The Globally Trade Compliance Specialist will provide guidance to logistics/customization centers and subsidiaries around the world.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

This role reports directly to the Group Trade Compliance Manager, and will work as part of a team to drive the implementation of the Internal Compliance Program (ICP) to ensure compliant import and export procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance to the Local Trade Compliance Specialists on domestic and international customs, export control and sanctions regulations.
  • Support the Global Trade Compliance Manager in the implementation of the ICP including the risk management
  • Define classification processes and responsibilities to ensure compliant import and export declarations
  • Act as the GTS system manager and actively promote the use of tools to increase efficiency and compliance levels.
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of global trade compliance standards and procedures
  • Track and report key trade compliance metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the controls in place to manage global trade

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally in supply chain / trade compliance management or related field 
  • 5+ years of trade compliance experience
  • Experience with SAP/GTS is a must
  • Deep technical knowledge of international customs, export control and sanctions regulations
  • Ability to advise Trade Compliance Specialist and local management (subsidiaries) on trade compliance topics
  • Good knowledge of product, software and technology classification (HTS, ECCN)
  • Effective communication skills to interact with senior management
  • Multilingual is an asset (German preferred), but not required
