JOB SUMMARY

The Global Project Manager, Logistics Systems and Applications will be responsible for deciding on and implementing improvement and investment projects for the Group Division Logistics/ Customization to  achieve long term business targets. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluate, plan and execute of  complex business improvement or CAPEX investments projects, mostly with a strong logistics system focus, in line with Belimo's growth strategy.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

The Global Project Manager, Logistics Systems and Applications is part of the Global Logistics team, reporting directly to the Head of Logistics/Customization Excellence. This position bears full responsibility for all agreed upon goals and objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Systems & Application Management

  • Responsible for the global logistics system procedures: conceptional work, implementation of new processes globally, drive global standardization, automatization, and optimization.
  • Management of global logistics systems provider (IGZ, Opal)
  • Global coordination of change requests and release planning
  • Interface between Business and IT organizations
  • Support improvement and investment projects as a global logistics system expert and act as an internal consultant
  • Analyse process & systems and applications weaknesses (on a global level)
  • Maintenance/creation of training documentation and training-skills of required processes (Train the Trainer)
  • Global module responsibility: SAP WM / EWM 

Project Management

  • Lead strategic global and regional projects and interface with global strategic Group initiatives.
  • Execute medium / large scale investment (CAPEX) projects independently, as required
  • Manage projects with cost and timeline control, ensure scope and deliverables are according to project specifications and the risks are controlled carefully
  • Identify, implement, and lead opportunities/ logistics improvement projects to streamline flow across the entire supply chain
  • Lead projects and motivate participants in interdisciplinary and intercultural teams until the successful completion on time and within budget of the project
  • Use the Project Management tools (project planning / task management) to ensure project goals are achieved
  • Supports the Head of Project Management in the tool-based project portfolio management 

Miscellaneous

  • Maintain and develop training, procedures and manuals and execute training activities for new initiatives under your responsibility.
  • Elaborate project specific concepts, solutions and basis for Management decisions
  • Participation and collaboration in Logistics / Customization Councils and other training sessions
  • Peer-coaching of Global and Regional Project Management Specialist's
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy working environment
  • Provide support for Global Quality initiatives at the group level, working with the Asia Pacific based Group Division Quality team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required, ideally within the scope of Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Project Management. 
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in logistics system support management
  • 3+ years of project experience in an industrial environment, working with interdisciplinary and international teams 
  • Systems Experience: SAP Expert (SD, WM, EWM) and MS Office Suite
  • Proven experience of 2-3 topics within the Belimo Supply Chain Focus topics (WMS, LogisticsAutomation, Transportation Management, Supply Chain Controlling, Sustainability in Logistics, Materials/Inventory Management)
  • Flexibility for global business travel (15% travel requirement)
  • Involved, initiative team player with high level of self-motivation and communication skills
  • Entrepreneurially thinking - ability to convince all stakeholders to support projects
  • Must be a strong logical and analytical thinker with goal orientation who can develop and execute to completion

  • Communication skills in other languages, in particular German or Spanish is highly desirable
  • PMP certification
